Congratulations from your CAC to the entire Folger family for making a new Folger McKinsey happen! As you may know, your County Council approved the 2011 School Capital Budget on May 25th with full funding to start the revitalization of Folger in June 2010. A sincere thanks to all of you, who attended hearings, made calls, sent e-mails and wrote letters to our representatives and School Board to help keep the Folger project on track in these difficult financial times. We all owe a big thanks to our County Councilwoman, Cathy Vitale, for all her work on this project (we would expect nothing less from a Folger alumni!).

So now that the revitalization is a reality, what happens next?

A CAC meeting will occur before school ends on the June 15th- watch the Folger web site for its date and time. We will be able to fill in more details then. We will also be electing officers for the all important 2011 transition year.

Demolition of Folger starts in July 2010. Get ready for your chance to "Buy a Brick" from the classic building!

Our students will report to their temporary home at Chesapeake Bay Middle School in August 2010. There will be a parent and student orientation meeting in mid August to help us all get acclimated.
